Requirements

Must:
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in terminal, pipeline, or petroleum industry for Specialist level - 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in terminal, pipeline, or petroleum industry for Sr Specialist level - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience - Strong writing and organizational abilities - Exceptional interpersonal skills with verbal and written communication proficiency - Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Capacity to work independently and be accountable for meeting deadlines - Effective multitasking and organizational skills - Proficient in problem solving and decision making with limited supervision - Dedicated ownership of assignments and focus on tasks at hand - Capability to read, interpret, and provide feedback on technical specifications - Proficient in reading and modifying technical P&ID diagrams - Experience with SAP software is advantageous - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

- Offer guidance and interpretation of loss control policies - Support terminals with inventory balancing, product gain/loss, and quality investigations - Conduct detailed assessments of loss control and measurement - Respond to emergencies involving inventory and product quality, assisting terminal and pipeline operations as necessary - Communicate with asset managers regarding product variances, providing advice to resolve discrepancies - Track and report compliance with SOX controls monthly to asset managers - Train personnel on proper shore tank gauging, temperature determination, and sampling techniques on-site - Maintain records of monthly inventory variances and exceptions, reporting to management - Understand various metering systems and their effects on inventory gain/loss - Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
