Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2 years of IR Electrical Testing experience required
- Experience with Medium and High Voltage systems is necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent, along with 6+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for electrical systems and rotating machinery in the natural gas sector
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, complemented by robust interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Well-organized, able to effectively manage schedules, set priorities, and plan systematically
- Experience collaborating in a functional team with geographically dispersed peers
- Ability to interface effectively with management and field teams for consistency and enhanced customer service
- Operational and theoretical knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems
- Familiarity with electrical system stipulations relating to NFPA 70B, EEE, and similar standards
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical apparatus in compressor stations, plants, and liquid pipeline systems
- Adapt or enhance protection relay logic to align with modifications in electrical equipment or operating conditions
- Deliver training as needed for local I&E personnel and operations/maintenance staff
- Supervise installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Medium Voltage Systems, Motors, Motor Control Systems, Switch Gear, Reduction Gear Drives, Transformers, and Process Control Systems for natural gas compressors
- Serve as the Divisions expert on Motors, Low/Medium/High Voltage Power Systems, and Switch Gear
- Collaborate with Engineering and Construction to ensure effective design, installation, startup, and operation of electrical and control systems
- Conduct audits of facilities and projects to verify adherence to Company standards, policies, and governmental/industry codes
- Lead the planning and provision of training and skill verification for Controls, Motor, Electronics, and Electrical disciplines
- Assist area teams in framing O&M and Capital projects relevant to natural gas compression equipment, covering identification, justification, prioritization, management, and commissioning of projects
- Utilize a comprehensive approach that includes preventative and predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, performance tracking, and root cause failure analysis in the evaluation of the companys asset management program
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors on scheduling maintenance and tackling warranty and equipment performance issues
- Employ diagnostic tools to provide troubleshooting guidance to field teams as necessary
- Review and authorize lockout/tagout protocols and project work plans related to electrical systems for natural gas compressors and associated equipment
