Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Fire, Safety, Emergency Response, or related field, or equivalent work experience - 2 to 5 years of experience in emergency response - Comprehensive knowledge of terminal and dock operations - Valid drivers license - Fire Certifications and PA EMT Certification are mandatory - HAZMAT Technician Certification is preferred and must be obtained - Familiarity with current technology and government regulations such as 1910.120, MTSA, OPA 90 - Understanding of firefighting tactics and familiarity with industrial, OSHA standards, and NFPA - Working knowledge of fire protection, suppression, and detection systems, including fire apparatus and tools - Ability to design and deliver training programs - Proficiency in MS Office applications - Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities - Capability to make decisive actions under pressure and exercise sound judgment

- Respond swiftly to emergencies involving fires, hazardous material spills, explosions, medical incidents, and rescues - Provide leadership and command during emergency situations within the terminal and nearby corporate assets - Ensure compliance with local agencies, company policies, and regulations related to emergency response, including fire and environmental standards - Act as the primary contact for regulators during non-business hours - Perform additional duties as assigned by the Emergency Response Manager and Lead Specialist - Function as the Alternate Facility Security Officer for USCG and MTSA requirements - Serve as the Alternate Qualified Individual in the Facility Response Plan for USCG and EPA - Act as a liaison during after-hours communications with contractors and vendors - Maintain organized records and files related to emergency services and security issues during shifts - Take part in HES sponsored reviews and assessments to ensure adherence to emergency and security protocols - Carry out inspections and maintenance of emergency equipment and fire safety systems, documenting all activities - Ensure proper training and preparedness of the emergency response fire brigade - Oversee the facilitys security measures and ensure operational readiness of the communications center - Ensure comprehensive development and coordination of emergency response plans, including risk assessments for terminal hazards - Keep terminal manuals and plans up to date, documenting necessary changes - Manage drills and exercises, documenting all activities and critiques - Maintain electronic monitoring systems and equipment necessary for compliance - Oversee safety supply inventory and distribution, making recommendations for improvements in safety equipment - Ensure all EMS equipment is functional and well-maintained, coordinating necessary training and inspections - Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities regarding emergency response and fire security assets
