Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience in compression-related assembly or field settings
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in reading tape measures and rulers in increments of 1/16
- Basic mathematical skills for adding and subtracting fractions, decimals, and whole numbers
- Familiarity with assembly department concepts, practices, and procedures
Responsibilities
- Review shop notes, general arrangement, and process flow diagrams and drawings
- Utilize measuring tools like tape measures, rulers, and pressure gauges
- Assemble and install skid-mounted components such as pumps, vessels, pipes, and structural supports
- Conduct pneumatic and mechanical testing on assembled parts
- Disassemble components for repair or preparation for shipping
- Operate a range of portable hand and powered tools including impact and torque wrenches, band saws, and grinders
- Handle stationary tools like bench grinders, drill presses, and chop saws
- Use lifting equipment such as overhead and jib cranes
- Record serial numbers and additional information as required in the inspection test plan (ITP)
- Communicate issues to the line supervisor and assist in problem resolution
- Adhere to safety protocols and perform tasks in a safe manner
- Report any unsafe equipment or hazards to the supervisor immediately
- Comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and personnel
- Contribute to the training and development of Assembler I and other team members
- Execute assigned duties and others as needed with minimal supervision
