Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years of experience in compression-related assembly or field settings
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in reading tape measures and rulers with precision to 1/16
- Basic mathematical skills to perform addition and subtraction of fractions, decimals, and whole numbers
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the assembly department
Responsibilities
- Interpret shop notes, general arrangements, and process flow diagrams and drawings
- Utilize measuring instruments such as tape measures, rulers, and pressure gauges
- Assemble and install skid-mounted components, including pumps, vessels, pipes, and machine guards
- Conduct pneumatic and mechanical testing on assembled components
- Disassemble parts to replace defective components or prepare for shipping
- Operate a variety of hand, electric, and air-powered tools like impact wrenches and grinders
- Use stationary equipment, including bench grinders and drill presses
- Operate lifting devices such as overhead and jib cranes
- Document serial numbers and relevant information per the inspection test plan (ITP)
- Report issues to the line supervisor and contribute to problem-solving efforts
- Perform tasks safely in accordance with company safety protocols
- Alert supervisors about potentially hazardous equipment and unsafe conditions
- Comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions
- Foster effective working relationships with colleagues across all departments
- Engage in the training and development of Assemblers I and other team members
- Carry out all duties with minimal supervision as required
