Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in software engineering (or equivalent portfolio)
- Extensive backend proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript (NestJS preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and data modeling techniques
- Strong intuition for system design focusing on security, accuracy, performance, and maintainability
- Familiarity with frontend basics (React/NextJS) for seamless integration
- Ability to work on-site in Mechanicsburg, PA
Responsibilities
- Spearhead backend architecture and its implementation utilizing NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript
- Take ownership of critical domains such as:
- Downline and hierarchy engines, attribution logic, and referral tracking
- Commission calculations ensuring auditability and correctness
- Enrollment workflow orchestration, validation, and management of edge cases
- Optimize database performance, ensure data integrity, and implement scaling strategies
- Craft robust Postgres schemas and enhance query performance through indexing and tuning
- Elevate engineering standards through effective testing strategies, code reviews, comprehensive documentation, and efficient release practices
- Investigate production issues, conduct root-cause analyses, and apply preventive solutions
- Convert evolving business requirements into reliable technical frameworks
