Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or possess equivalent work experience.
- I have more than 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Release Manager or in a comparable role within a DevOps setting.
- I possess a solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- I am proficient in scripting and automation languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- I am experienced with GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy, and familiarity with tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Jira, and Change Approval software such as Freshservice is a plus.
- I have knowledge of Change Approval processes and automated CI/CD workflows.
- Certifications related to Azure DevOps would be advantageous.
- I demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- I have a good grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- I thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- I am detail-oriented and focused on quality and continuous improvement.
- ITIL or DevOps certifications are considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- I will collaborate with product managers and development teams to organize release schedules and prioritize features and bug fixes.
- I will oversee release activities, including code deployments, configuration management, and environment setup, ensuring seamless and error-free releases.
- I will generate regular reports and metrics regarding release status and performance for management and stakeholders.
- I will facilitate effective communication among development, QA, and operations teams to align everyone on release timelines and requirements.
- I will maintain comprehensive release documentation that includes release notes, deployment procedures, and version control.
- I will proactively identify and address potential risks and issues that could affect release schedules or product quality.
- I will closely collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of releases, including regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- I will implement and sustain automation tools and scripts to streamline the release process and enhance efficiency.
- I will continually assess and improve the release process by pinpointing bottlenecks and introducing best practices and process enhancements.

I am applying for the position of DevOps Release Manager at Encore, where I will be responsible for managing the complete release management process. My role involves ensuring the timely and successful delivery of software releases to our customers while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations.
