PACS Administrator

- Conduct daily PACS reconciliation, identifying unread studies, prioritizing them, and preparing for interpretation. - Maintain a conducive work environment for radiologists to dictate digital images daily. - Collaborate with radiologists to ensure their hanging protocols are tailored to their needs. - Liaise with PCPs and staff from outlying clinics to confirm the proper functionality of their digital imaging environment. - Respond to all imaging service needs before escalating to external service providers. - Merge patient data within the PACS as required. - Resolve daily fax issues related to outside providers. - Document patient data, procedures, and relevant details per practice standards. - Evaluate network, switch, or computer issues in conjunction with the IT team as necessary. - Ensure all reading stations comply with HIPAA guidelines. - Undertake and document quality assurance activities aligned with established protocols. - Assist staff and physicians in addressing image transfer issues that may arise. - Comply with established standards, policies, and procedures as governed by the profession and law. - Safeguard patient confidentiality at all times. - Keep credentials, continuing education, and certifications related to clinical practice up to date. - Generate reports as requested by management. - Participate in MIPs and other quality measure standards programs. - Manage interfaces as needed. - Serve as a super user and trainer for EMR and PACS as requested. - Oversee internet cloud management for digital imaging transfers. - Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
