Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience as a full stack engineer with deep expertise in Python, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Proven background leading engineering teams in modern, cloud-first environments.
- Solid knowledge of AWS, containerization, and distributed system design.
- Demonstrated success designing and scaling CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both engineers and business leaders.
- A balanced mindset that combines technical depth with commercial awareness in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
- Preferred: Experience working with TypeScript and React.
- Preferred: Background in financial services, private equity, asset management, or consulting.
- Preferred: Practical experience applying AI or ML in products or workflow automation.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, and modern data engineering tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 5+ full stack engineers to deliver impactful applications.
- Take charge of the design, development, and continual enhancement of approximately 15 Python-based applications utilizing Flask and FastAPI while remaining hands-on in crucial areas.
- Architect, construct, and enhance cloud-native, containerized solutions on AWS, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Drive modern CI/CD practices to enable rapid, reliable delivery across engineering teams.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor, communicating solutions to non-technical stakeholders and translating business objectives into well-crafted engineering solutions.
- Foster a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and ongoing learning within the engineering organization.
- Investigate and incorporate AI/ML capabilities into both applications and engineering workflows to boost efficiency and insight.
- Keep abreast of industry trends to maintain the organizations competitive edge in the private equity and FinTech sectors.
