Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software engineering
- Strong programming expertise in embedded C and/or C++
- Experience with embedded systems utilizing pre-emptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
- Familiarity with Microchip PIC32, EFM 32 microcontrollers, MPLAB x IDE, and Simplicity Studio IDE
- Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems
- Comfortable interpreting schematics and component datasheets
- Solid understanding of OS coding methodologies, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems
- Experience with software configuration management, defect tracking, and peer code review practices
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Skilled in utilizing low-level libraries from MCU manufacturers and adapting/re-writing code to create high-level libraries
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with embedded development tools and environments
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovation-focused setting
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded C software solutions from initial concept to commercial launch of amplifier systems
- Create, test, debug, and enhance system-level code for optimal performance and stability
- Analyze and enhance the efficiency, scalability, and resilience of system resources
- Validate new product designs and assist in quality assurance testing initiatives
- Collaborate with RF hardware engineers to ensure effective integration
- Provide post-production support and resolve on-field issues
- Assess and integrate third-party and open-source software as necessary
