Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of front-end development experience
- Extensive knowledge of React
- Strong skills in performance optimization and scalable UI architecture
- Proven experience in both UI/UX design and development
- Familiarity with wireframing, prototyping, and user flow design
- History of leading front-end development for consumer-focused products
- Comfortable being the primary front-end specialist within a small, impactful team
- Bonus: Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, or Gatsby
- Bonus: Knowledge of Tailwind CSS or other contemporary styling frameworks
- Bonus: Background in insurance, fintech, or regulated industries
- Bonus: Experience enhancing conversion funnels or multi-step forms
- Bonus: History of improving contractor-developed codebases
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the front-end experience for customer-facing applications
- Create and develop clean, user-friendly, high-converting interfaces
- Make essential UI/UX decisions regarding layout, interaction patterns, and visual design
- Rapidly prototype and iterate designs prior to final production
- Manage and enhance an existing codebase transitioned from contractors
- Ensure applications are fast, responsive, accessible, and scalable
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to convert business requirements into seamless user experiences
- Continuously enhance application performance and conversion rates
