Requirements
Must:
- 6+ years of experience in Workday HCM with a strong focus on Compensation.
- Hands-on configuration experience with Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and compensation review cycles.
- Background as a Business Systems Analyst, Product Manager, or HRIS Lead.
- Demonstrated experience leading annual merit and bonus cycles in Workday.
- Outstanding analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience supporting global compensation programs (preferred).
- Familiarity with Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, or Reporting dependencies (preferred).
- Agile and product management experience including backlog ownership and sprint planning (preferred).
- Workday certification in Compensation or HCM (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Act as BSA/Product Manager for Workday Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation, handling merit, bonus, stock, and one-time payment programs.
- Take ownership of the configuration for compensation plans and packages, grades and grade profiles, ranges, eligibility rules, proration logic, and compensation review processes.
- Collaborate with HR and Total Rewards to convert compensation strategy into scalable Workday solutions.
- Lead the gathering of requirements from HR, Finance, Payroll, and Legal stakeholders.
- Convert business needs into configuration-ready functional designs.
- Analyze downstream impacts on Payroll, Time and Absence, Reporting, and integrations.
- Oversee end-to-end testing including unit, integration, and UAT for compensation events and annual cycles.
- Serve as Product Owner for Workday Compensation within the People Technology portfolio.
- Maintain and prioritize a product backlog of enhancements, defects, and optimization tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering, HRIS, and vendors to implement roadmap initiatives utilizing Agile practices.
- Evaluate new Workday releases and features, recommending adoption based on business value.
- Act as the main point of contact for compensation system decisions, communicating trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders.
- Assist with executive-level reporting, pay equity analysis, and audit readiness.
