Requirements
Must:
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience; background in financial services or securities industry is advantageous.
- Technical engineering background with extensive coding experience beyond basic scripts.
- Proficient in Java, Angular, Kafka, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and software development practices.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Amazon S3, AWS, Ansible, Docker, Linux, Microsoft Azure, Python, Splunk, AppDynamics, and AI.
- In-depth experience with SQL Server analysis, including query tuning, deadlock identification, execution plan analysis, and debugging stored procedures and functions.
- Ability to read and interpret Java code, including Object-Oriented Programming concepts, exception handling, and basic debugging techniques.
- Understanding of job scheduling and configuration.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, shell scripting, and application servers like Tomcat.
- Experience with monitoring tools to identify, track errors, and engage with engineering for resolution.
- Experience with AI technologies and a self-starter mentality in configuring AI agents, including familiarity with advanced prompts in Co-Pilot.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues within a production environment using strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and stakeholder teams to address complex challenges and execute changes.
- Monitor application and database performance, identifying bottlenecks and performing routine maintenance to ensure stability.
- Create and maintain troubleshooting documentation, knowledge articles, and incident reports.
- Effectively communicate with teams and stakeholders utilizing strong written and verbal skills.
- Analyze logs, code, and database performance metrics with meticulous attention to detail.
- Adapt to evolving priorities and technologies in a dynamic environment.
- Utilize previous production support experience with Java-based applications and SQL Server databases.
- Recognize opportunities for automation and develop scripts or tools to enhance efficiency.
- Enhance and secure software and systems for factors including scalability, availability, latency, performance, security, and capacity.
- Continuously refine operational support to improve customer experience and drive product innovation by addressing end-to-end friction points.
- Understand the technical ecosystem, discern systemic interrelationships, and pinpoint gaps.
- Employ DevOps-centric automation tools and technologies for CI/CD and scale systems through automation and advancement.
