Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- At least 4 years of experience in user experience research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Minimum 4 years utilizing Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- A minimum of 4 years applying usability principles, design systems, and WCAG accessibility standards.
- At least 4 years performing interviews, surveys, usability testing, A/B testing, and heuristic evaluations.
- A year of experience with Google Analytics or similar analytical tools to guide decisions.
- Expertise in creating both low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
- Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy and their effects on user experience.
- Capability to develop intuitive interactions and responsive designs across various devices.
- Proficient in information architecture and navigation design.
- Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite; basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is preferred.
- Experience in planning, executing, and refining designs based on usability testing and feedback.
- Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with effective teamwork abilities.
- Ability to convey UX research methods, findings, and implications during presentations and interviews.
- Eagerness to stay updated on developing UX research methods, accessibility standards, and design best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct both qualitative and quantitative UX research, involving interviews, surveys, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and A/B testing.
- Formulate research strategies and approaches that align with business objectives, user needs, and accessibility guidelines.
- Analyze research outcomes and convert insights into feasible recommendations that guide product and design choices.
- Utilize analytics tools like Google Analytics to assess user behavior and pinpoint usability challenges.
- Champion user-centered design practices to ensure stakeholders apply research insights effectively.
- Generate wireframes, user journeys, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Craft accessible, user-friendly, and visually cohesive interfaces for web and application products.
- Guarantee designs are responsive and optimized for diverse devices and platforms.
- Integrate interaction design features, including transitions, animations, and responses.
- Design and assess interfaces to meet WCAG standards and adhere to usability best practices.
- Conduct accessibility and usability assessments and suggest remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to accurately implement accessibility standards.
- Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders in an agile or iterative setting.
- Present findings, design rationales, and recommendations through various communication channels.
- Regularly update progress and proactively identify risks, gaps, or dependencies.
