Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience configuring Jira and/or Azure DevOps to align with portfolio operating models.
- Demonstrated ability to create traceability from portfolio outcomes to team-level tasks.
- Skilled in defining and standardizing performance metrics and their calculations.
- Track record in developing executive dashboards and reports related to governance.
- Experience establishing data standards, necessary fields, and artifact structures across various tools.
- Competent in aligning workflow states with governance expectations and checkpoints.
- Proficient in identifying and resolving data quality issues that affect reporting.
- Background in optimizing multi-tool environments and leading tool migrations or simplifications.
- Ability to collaborate with portfolio, product, and change leaders to enact governance practices.
Responsibilities
- Create a comprehensive hierarchy of outcomes and outputs that facilitate traceability from portfolio to team level.
- Customize Jira and/or Azure DevOps to mirror the portfolios operational model and governance requirements.
- Ensure visible connections between funded initiatives and ART/team actions for precise alignment.
- Remove inconsistencies or duplicated artifacts across tools and teams.
- Establish performance metrics aligned with governance that aid in informed decision-making.
- Standardize definitions and calculation methods for metrics to guarantee uniform reporting.
- Design executive dashboards linked to governance timelines and review cycles.
- Confirm data accuracy before governance meetings and executive presentations.
- Define mandatory fields and artifact standards for Jira and Azure DevOps.
- Synchronize workflow stages with governance expectations and portfolio milestones.
- Detect and rectify data quality problems impacting clarity and reporting.
- Minimize variations across ARTs that may compromise transparency and comparability.
- Streamline multi-tool ecosystems to eliminate redundant efforts.
- Guide the transition towards a simplified, governance-compliant toolset.
- Shift configuration responsibilities to internal administrators for long-term sustainability.
