Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in Java or similar language focusing on test automation development.
- Proven track record with Cucumber and REST services for automation testing.
- Practical experience with SQL, DB2, and Oracle for data validation tasks.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and XRAY.
- Expertise in CI/CD practices using tools like Maven, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and Sonar.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), coding standards, code reviews, and source code management.
- Understanding of Cobol, VSAM files, batch processing, and IOM in mainframe environments.
- Experience in conducting functional and regression testing in Agile settings.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and develop clear test narratives and acceptance criteria.
- Preferred: Background in financial services such as mutual funds, stocks, or managed accounts.
- Preferred: Experience with virtual databases such as Delphix or data mock tools like Wire Mock.
- Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated testing frameworks utilizing Java or similar programming languages.
- Assess and test distributed applications across various components of the technology framework.
- Validate processes and data using SQL, DB2, and Oracle.
- Implement DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies with tools like Maven, Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and Sonar.
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams using JIRA and XRAY to outline user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Improve Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices including coding conventions, code evaluations, and source control management.
- Utilize virtual databases or mock data tools such as Delphix and Wire Mock.
- Engage with cloud technologies including Azure and AWS.
- Conduct functional testing and regression testing incorporating the necessary levels of automation.
- Identify potential risks associated with test automation and devise strategies for mitigation.
- Operate independently within Agile Sprint or Kanban teams to achieve high-quality deliverables.
