Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise voice infrastructure, unified communications (UC), and contact center architecture
- Comprehensive understanding of UC and CC domains, including SIP, dial plans, and call detail records (CDR)
- Profound experience with Avaya platforms such as Communication Manager and Aura messaging
- Familiarity with CCaaS solutions including Five9, NICE, or Verint
- Practical experience with Teams Phone, Zoom Phone, or other UCaaS systems
- Proficient in SIP trunking, number administration, and related policies
- Experience in IVR scripting and call flow design
- Knowledge of REST APIs and .NET for application integration
- Strong voice networking fundamentals including SIP, RTP, QoS, and VLAN tagging
- Understanding of resiliency concepts like survivable branch telephony
- Familiarity with end-user voice services such as physical phones and softphones
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of security and compliance in UC and CC environments
- Awareness of cabling standards and data center practices
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete architecture for voice, unified communications, and contact center systems, including dial plans and call routing
- Establish, document, and uphold configuration standards and security measures across multiple platforms
- Facilitate design reviews for contact center solutions including IVR and scripting
- Drive efforts for resiliency through branch telephony design and capacity planning
- Oversee installations, upgrades, and maintenance of systems, ensuring platform hygiene
- Provide advanced Tier 3 support for complex incidents across voice and video services
- Administer PSTN and SIP trunking services, along with number porting
- Utilize monitoring tools like Wireshark and SolarWinds for troubleshooting
- Assist in transitioning from legacy systems to UCaaS and CCaaS environments
- Optimize IVR/IVA systems and call flows for better customer experience
- Supervise integrations with CRM systems, REST APIs, and third-party applications
- Lead programs for platforms like Five9, keeping track of milestones and service levels
- Maintain detailed documentation, runbooks, and inventories of architectures
- Conduct training sessions for IT staff and end users
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and integrated services
- Coordinate with vendors and drive problem resolution efforts to prevent future issues
