Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret DoD security clearance.
- Over 8 years of experience in software development for Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Strong coding skills and substantial expertise in C++.
- Familiarity with CMake and Bash scripting.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and creating UIs for embedded applications or mobile devices using cross-platform tools and modern UI design techniques.
- Proficiency in structuring software to clearly separate presentation, business logic, and data storage.
- Knowledge of Android application platforms and Qt (5+ years preferred).
- Background in Scrum or other Agile methodologies (preferred).
- Experience in mobile application development (preferred).
- Acquainted with software configuration management tools like Subversion, Git, GitLab, or GitHub (preferred).
- Skilled in UI/UX development frameworks such as Qt, Android, AngularJS, Ionic, GWT, SmartGWT, React, or Node.js (preferred).
- Familiar with Agile management tools like VersionOne, JIRA, or Rally (preferred).
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and concepts like Squish for Qt, TDD, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, or BDD (preferred).
- Experience with formal API development approaches such as OpenAPI 3.0 (preferred).
- Familiarity with Docker (preferred).
- Competency in C or Python (preferred).
- Knowledge of Java (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and debug software for enhancements as well as new software-intensive systems and products.
- Evaluate software requirements and ensure hardware compatibility across Linux and Android platforms.
- Create cross-platform user interfaces using Qt/QML and contribute to embedded and mobile UI development.
- Integrate modules and libraries across C++, C, and Python with SQLite for data persistence.
- Employ secure software development methodologies, including TDD, CI, test automation, and code refactoring.
- Write maintainable, efficient, reliable, readable, secure, and fault-tolerant code utilizing object-oriented and functional programming principles.
- Support configuration management and interface requirements for APIs and host systems, which may include virtualized or containerized targets.
- Collaborate in an Agile Scrum setting alongside UI/UX, systems, information assurance, and QA teams.
- Shape solution design and engineering strategies across various technical disciplines.
