Requirements
Must:
- 5 to 20 years of experience in software and systems development
- Strong background in software development with proven experience constructing software systems
- Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot for backend service development
- Experience with Angular for front-end implementation
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, or Go
- Extensive experience in Linux administration
- Significant exposure to cloud service providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean, or Google Cloud
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices
- Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools like Puppet or Ansible
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of computer networking principles
- Proven experience in managing and administering systems at a production scale
- Preferred experience with AWS
- Preferred knowledge of Kafka
- Preferred proficiency in Python
Responsibilities
- Ensure platform uptime, optimal performance, stability, and scalability
- Design, guide, and scrutinize system architecture and design while providing mentorship to peers
- Create and maintain a public API
- Deliver robust and scalable solutions based on feature requests
- Work with big data technologies including Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement value-added features
- Partner with Database Administrators to develop ETL and Data Warehouse systems
- Work with Operations teams to automate solutions and enhance service reliability
- Monitor all production systems associated with the platform
- Build tools and processes for analytics, monitoring, machine learning, and data warehousing initiatives
- Define and execute strategies encompassing networking, backups, and fog computing configurations and deployments
- Provision, configure, maintain, back up, and oversee both on-premises and cloud server resources
- Develop and implement deployment strategies for client-facing and internal systems
- Continuously enhance alerting and monitoring systems
