Requirements
Must:
- Active Top Secret clearance with current or previously held SCI access.
- Over 5 years of experience in database administration or engineering.
- Proven background in designing, implementing, managing, and tuning PostgreSQL databases within enterprise settings.
- Expertise in ensuring database performance, availability, and reliability, including capacity planning and tuning.
- Solid experience in implementing and managing database security measures, including access management and auditing.
- Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and restore operations, especially in high-availability contexts.
- Knowledge of distributed PostgreSQL solutions, such as pgEdge or similar.
- Ability to contribute effectively with minimal onboarding in a mission-critical operational setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and optimize databases in both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Engage in performance tuning, backups, replication, and recovery of databases.
- Implement access controls, auditing, governance, and retention policies.
- Oversee schemas, indexes, stored procedures, and permissions management.
- Maintain and support Kubernetes clusters for containerized database and application operations.
- Administer CI/CD pipelines and automation to facilitate database and application delivery.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborative project activities.
- Support production operations with a strong focus on urgency and operational discipline.
- Clearly communicate technical risks, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain trust with clients through technical competence, responsiveness, and dependability.
