Requirements

Must:
- Expertise in programming and managing liquid handling systems such as Hamilton, Tecan, Beckman, Agilent, or Lynx along with integration of peripheral devices like plate readers, sealers, shakers, and scanners. - Comprehensive knowledge of automated systems programming, including method development, error recovery logic, liquid class optimization, and method validation through simulations or trace files, as well as integration with LIMS or MES. - Basic competence in object-oriented programming languages, specifically C# and Python. - Strong troubleshooting abilities for integrated automation systems, with a proven history of resolving critical production challenges. - Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and validation procedures. - Capacity to plan activities within assigned project scopes while prioritizing tasks for team members to adhere to schedules. - Experience overseeing vendors and engineering contractors at a technical level for component delivery. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical ideas to diverse audiences. - Ability to work independently, set priorities, and successfully complete projects with minimal supervision. - Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Lifesciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or Systems Engineering. - Masters degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with no experience, or equivalent professional experience.

- Lead the implementation of liquid handling automation systems in controlled laboratory and manufacturing environments. - Create sophisticated automation scripts and recovery techniques for new assays and workflows, encompassing error management, custom liquid classes, simulation runs, and data evaluation. - Employ analytical problem-solving skills to tackle technical issues and eliminate obstacles during system deployment. - Validate automated applications to guarantee accuracy, precision, and reproducibility. - Propel process development and ongoing improvement initiatives to boost system performance and user satisfaction. - Provide continuous technical assistance and troubleshoot protocols and instruments. - Create and sustain detailed documentation, including training resources and internal process manuals. - Cultivate professional relationships with clients and colleagues as a credible technical advisor. - Conduct basic and advanced software and hardware training for internal stakeholders. - Influence decisions at the project and program levels across various disciplines. - Remain informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to inform long-term automation strategies.
