Requirements
Must:
- 6-10 years of experience in API engineering, particularly in migration tasks.
- Proven experience in migrating REST APIs within enterprise settings.
- Extensive knowledge of REST API design, testing, and validation processes.
- Experience in transitioning APIs from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Proficient in using Postman and/or Insomnia for API testing.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases, including Exadata and Oracle Database Cloud.
- Experience in adjusting API integrations affected by database modifications.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms like OAuth and token-based systems.
- Capability to operate in large-scale data environments.
- Preferred experience includes Oracle Database Cloud migrations, financial services or regulated sectors, large data systems, and platform modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the migration and validation of REST APIs from on-premises Exadata to Oracle Database Cloud.
- Identify and address API compatibility issues, including endpoint adjustments, authentication processes, and data management logic.
- Conduct API testing and validation using tools like Postman and Insomnia.
- Enhance API performance within the Oracle Cloud ecosystem.
- Revise backend queries, stored procedures, and integrations affected by the migration.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams on migration strategies, testing workflows, and release preparations.
- Diagnose and resolve any API defects during validation phases.
- Ensure APIs comply with performance, reliability, and security standards after migration.
