Requirements
Must:
- 2 to 5 years of direct experience with firewall solution deployment, including upgrades, research, design, implementation, administration, and support.
- Proven expertise in managing Check Point firewalls.
- In-depth understanding of networking communication and security protocols.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Skill in communicating concepts in user-friendly, business-oriented, and technical terms.
- Capacity to research various security issues extensively.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in prioritizing and executing tasks in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with Cisco network and security administration (preferred).
- Knowledge of Azures Network Security Groups and Application Security Groups (preferred).
- Experience with KnowBe4 Security Awareness (preferred).
- Understanding of SD-WAN solutions (preferred).
- Bachelors degree in Cyber Security or a related field in Computer Science.
- Certification in Check Point firewall administration (preferred).
- Cisco certification (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of escalation for security-related technical and process issues.
- Manage the execution and finalization of assigned security tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve reported security concerns.
- Develop and modify firewall rule sets, policies, and security device configurations.
- Monitor and provide reports on the effectiveness of security layers.
- Conduct trend analysis, identify major security incidents, and collaborate with teams to reduce future vulnerabilities.
- Document existing security processes and suggest enhancements.
- Design, establish, and configure security architecture, encompassing both hardware and software solutions.
- Organize and plan changes in accordance with stakeholder needs based on business requirements.
- Facilitate business-to-business connectivity for critical interfaces and systems.
- Review security logs for alerts and troubleshoot or resolve issues as needed.
- Conduct security training and awareness initiatives throughout the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and compliance measures.
- Establish and configure remote access and site-to-site VPNs across diverse security platforms.
- Perform root cause investigations on security incidents.
Description
We are seeking a Security Administrator for our client, a prominent plumbing, sewer, and water damage solutions provider based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and other voluntary benefits. Our team is dedicated to securing enterprise systems through effective firewall management, network security, and operational controls, ensuring critical connectivity essential for business operations. We operate in a hybrid work setting, with four days onsite followed by three days split between onsite and remote work.
