Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in reinsurance operations, accounting, or insurance finance.
- Practical knowledge in treaty and facultative execution, bordereaux processing, claims, recoverables, and settlements.
- In-depth understanding of financial reporting, closing processes, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in leading teams and persuading cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience in operating within complex and highly regulated multi-entity environments.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of reinsurance processes, ensuring efficiency, correctness, and robust internal controls.
- Supervise operational workflows for treaty and facultative reinsurance programs, collaborating with underwriting, claims, finance, and brokers.
- Act as a subject matter expert in reinsurance operations, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting to guarantee precise booking, reconciliation, and reporting of reinsurance balance, including ceded premiums, commissions, recoverables, and settlements.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes related to reinsurance activities.
