Requirements
Must:
- 4-5+ years of experience in data science, ML engineering, software engineering, or applied AI.
- Proficient in large language models and prompt engineering methodologies.
- Experience in creating prompts for multi-step reasoning, planning, and tool-utilizing agents.
- Strong Python programming abilities for experimentation, evaluation, and integration.
- Familiar with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
- Capability to assess agent outputs and enhance behaviors using prompt-level adjustments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Create and enhance prompts that facilitate agentic behaviors like task decomposition, planning, tool utilization, and decision-making.
- Monitor user comments and sentiments regarding agentic tools.
- Construct prompt strategies for AI assistants that are multi-step and goal-oriented, functioning across various systems and APIs.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and product teams to outline agent roles, limitations, memory, and safeguards.
- Refine prompts for agent orchestration frameworks, including tool invocation, function execution, and state management.
- Assess agent performance, pinpoint failure modes such as loops, hallucinations, and incorrect actions, while applying mitigative measures.
- Assist in retrieval-augmented generation to ground agent decisions in reliable data sources.
- Conduct experiments and A/B testing to enhance agent accuracy, autonomy, and efficiency.
- Record reusable agent prompt patterns, workflows, and best practices.
- Work together on production deployments, balancing autonomy, cost, latency, and reliability.

We are seeking a Prompt Engineer to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO, with a hybrid work model of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Our focus is on designing, optimizing, and maintaining prompts that empower agentic AI assistants to reason, plan, and act across various tools and workflows.
