Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise integration, with a minimum of 4 years utilizing MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
- Proven track record as an Integration Architect or MuleSoft Architect leading the design and implementation of innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with Deltek Costpoint integrations, using Costpoint Web Services over REST and SOAP, along with enterprise integration methods including APIs and file-based messaging.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Anypoint Platform, API Manager, CloudHub, DataWeave, APIkit, and MUnit.
- Proficient in API design using RAML or OpenAPI, including RESTful best practices, versioning, and comprehensive documentation.
- Knowledge of various integration patterns such as orchestration, transformation, and error handling techniques.
- Familiarity with the Costpoint and GovCon ERP domain, covering areas like Projects, GL, AP/AR, Time and Expense, HR/Payroll, and Contracts/Billing.
- Experience with CI/CD practices using Maven and Git, alongside tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of message-oriented middleware solutions including JMS, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, or Kafka.
- Proficiency in database integrations, particularly with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of secure integration practices like TLS, certificate management, OAuth2/JWT, and secrets management.
- Preferred qualifications include MuleSoft certifications such as MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, MuleSoft Certified Developer (Mule 4), or API Design Associate.
- Familiarity with Costpoints integration capabilities and extensibility framework is advantageous.
- Experience with token-based authentication and SFTP/FTPS patterns in enterprise settings is desirable.
- Awareness of GovCon regulations, including DCAA, CAS, FAR, or DFARS is preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS, as well as containerization and hybrid networking such as VPN or private endpoints is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the solution architecture for integrations related to Costpoint using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform across System, Process, and Experience layers.
- Define integration patterns that encompass synchronous and asynchronous orchestration, event-driven and batch processes, prioritizing error handling, resiliency, replay, idempotency, and performance optimization.
- Establish and maintain API standards for naming conventions, versioning, documentation, and a strategy for reusable assets via Exchange.
- Design and execute integrations utilizing Costpoint Web Services over REST and SOAP, focusing on secure exposure and consumption of integration components.
- Provide guidance to teams on protocol selection while ensuring alignment with enterprise access and security standards pertinent to Costpoint integration.
- Transform business processes into detailed integration requirements, including mappings and validation protocols in collaboration with Finance, Contracts, Projects, and HR stakeholders.
- Lead the development of Mule applications, APIs, and services, leveraging Mule 4, DataWeave, APIkit, and standard connectors like HTTP, DB, JMS/MQ, and SFTP/FTPS.
- Develop and uphold CI/CD standards using Maven and Git, implement automated testing through MUnit, and manage release governance.
- Enforce secure integration practices, including TLS and certificate management, OAuth2/JWT, secrets management, and least-privilege access protocols.
- Establish observability measures with logging standards, correlation IDs, dashboards, alerts, and operational guides using Anypoint Monitoring and tools like Splunk.
- Address production issues across MuleSoft environments and Costpoint endpoints, conducting root cause analyses and implementing preventive improvements.
- Create technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, interface contracts, mapping specifications, and support manuals.
- Mentor developers and integration engineers, conducting code and design reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
