Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years of experience in providing storage solutions engineering support, specifically managing, administering, and maintaining SAN and NAS systems.
- Proficient in administering storage area networks, with a focus on EMC and NetApp systems as well as enterprise backup solutions.
- Familiarity with storage cloud infrastructure.
- Skilled in monitoring storage capacity, health, and performance metrics.
- Competent in conducting regular backup operations and implementing disaster recovery procedures.
- In-depth understanding of IPv6 networking, including addressing, routing, subnetting, network design, and troubleshooting (preferred).
- Possession of EMC Certified Storage Administrator or NetApp Certified Data Administrator certification, or a similar qualification.
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure various storage systems such as SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage solutions.
- Oversee the daily operations of the storage area network and associated platforms.
- Carry out maintenance, configuration changes, and deployments related to SAN systems.
- Provision storage, create volumes, provision LUNs, and carry out data migrations.
- Monitor storage capacity, health, and performance metrics to ensure optimal availability and efficiency.
- Execute regular data backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Configure storage technologies to function over both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
