Requirements

Must:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in platform, cloud, or data engineering, specializing in secure B2B integrations at scale - Advanced skills with AWS services for data exchange and governance, including S3, IAM, KMS, Transfer Family, API Gateway, and PrivateLink, as well as familiarity with Kinesis or MSK and Redshift or Snowflake - Practical experience with SFTP, AS2, EDI, and API-based exchanges, along with managed file transfer and partner connectivity methods - Strong understanding of security best practices, including least privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, tokenization, and PII handling - Expertise in infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation, continuous integration or continuous deployment, Git workflows, and scripting in Python or Bash - Proven track record of developing observability and reliability using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, metrics, alert systems, runbooks, and SLOs - Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, capable of leading complex incident responses and conducting root cause analysis - Familiarity with enterprise identity management and federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, or OIDC along with ABAC or RBAC policy frameworks (preferred) - Knowledge of data contracts, governance, and cataloging practices (preferred) - Experience with AWS management tools like Control Tower, Organizations, and security baselines (preferred) - Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOX, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, or CCPA, including automation for audit evidence (preferred) - Experience with CNCF or Kubernetes (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Design and develop standardized B2B data exchange methodologies, including SFTP, AS2, and API, utilizing AWS services such as Transfer Family, API Gateway, and PrivateLink - Construct data ingestion, curation, and delivery pipelines using AWS technologies like S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Step Functions, and Redshift or Snowflake - Implement end-to-end encryption and key management strategies, including TLS and KMS, while ensuring controls for PII and PHI handling - Develop secure VPC networking patterns and enable cross-account access for service-to-service connectivity - Establish role- and attribute-based access controls with IAM and Lake Formation to ensure least-privilege access - Operationalize data contracts and schema validation, utilizing Glue Data Catalog and versioned interfaces - Set guardrails with AWS Organizations and Control Tower while enforcing configuration baselines and detection of configuration drift - Integrate observability features using tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config along with structured logging and metrics - Define service level indicators (SLIs) or service level objectives (SLOs), manage error budgets, automate remediation processes, and create runbooks and incident workflows - Oversee secrets management, certificate rotation, and partner credential lifecycle, facilitating automated onboarding and offboarding - Deliver infrastructure as code through Terraform or CloudFormation alongside GitOps workflows; create reusable modules and pipelines - Integrate continuous integration or continuous delivery processes with testing and security scans, enabling progressive delivery for data exchange elements - Collaborate with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to meet necessary regulatory requirements - Work closely with Technical Program Managers, Data Engineering, and external partners to enhance integration strategies and troubleshoot issues - Provide Tier-3 data engineering support, lead post-incident analyses, and encourage ongoing improvements in reliability and security
