Requirements
Must:
- Around 2 to 3 years of experience in API development and integrations.
- Proficient in Java; exposure to Python or Node.js is a plus.
- Familiar with API management platforms like Apigee, MuleSoft, or AWS API Gateway.
- Practical experience in REST API design, development, and usage.
- Understanding of microservices architecture with experience in Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, EC2, and ElastiCache.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
- Proficient with tools like Postman and Swagger.
- Familiar with Git for version management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Insight into authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API keys (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of DevOps principles including Docker and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
- Some familiarity with Salesforce (preferred).
- Enthusiasm for the integration sector and a readiness to learn new technologies (preferred).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS experience or certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs for both internal systems and third-party services.
- Collaborate with product teams, QA engineers, and external partners to deliver integration solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange.
- Establish and resolve connectivity between our internal systems and external partners.
- Implement data mapping and transformation logic suited for diverse integration scenarios.
- Develop and manage technical documentation for APIs, integration workflows, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Write unit tests, conduct integration testing, and engage in code reviews.
- Monitor integration performance, investigate issues, and provide L2 support for integration-related challenges.
Description
We are seeking a junior integration engineer for a hybrid role (2-3 times weekly) based in Atlanta, GA. This position will focus on designing and maintaining RESTful APIs while facilitating connections between internal and external systems on a modern platform.
