Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience. - Hands-on expertise with Java and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot. - Proficient with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, API Gateway, and CloudFormation. - Experienced in developing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. - Knowledgeable in both NoSQL and relational databases. - Skilled in managing support requests and troubleshooting production systems. - Familiar with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Datadog. - Experience deploying Java applications on AWS EKS clusters (preferred). - Background in building low-latency, high-throughput transactional services with CI and automated testing (preferred). - Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies (preferred). - Skilled in multitasking and effectively prioritizing tasks (preferred). - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal (preferred). - Experience in the media industry (preferred). - Practical Node.js/JavaScript development experience for AWS Lambda (preferred). - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience. - AWS certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and sustain microservices employing Java and Spring Boot. - Construct and deploy services on AWS utilizing EKS and Lambda as suitable for the workload. - Implement event-driven and messaging integrations with AWS services including SQS, SNS, Kinesis, and API Gateway. - Create and oversee infrastructure as code using CloudFormation for dependable deployments. - Develop containerized applications with Docker and manage them through Kubernetes. - Integrate storage solutions with NoSQL and relational databases such as DynamoDB and other RDBMS. - Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms using tools like Splunk and Datadog. - Triage and resolve support tickets, production incidents, and performance-related concerns. - Collaborate within Agile/Scrum frameworks to plan, prioritize, and deliver project increments. - Contribute to CI automation and quality assurance practices to support low-latency, high-throughput service delivery.
