Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer in an agile setting.
- Proficient in Java, Java/J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Practical knowledge of building REST APIs and microservices.
- Experienced in developing and testing scalable cloud applications following SOA principles.
- Familiar with deploying applications to both on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS services like Lambda and S3.
- Skilled in unit testing utilizing TDD/BDD and tools such as JUnit or Jest.
- Competent in functional and integration testing employing Spring test frameworks.
- Experienced with IDEs including IntelliJ, Eclipse, or SQL Developer.
- Knowledgeable about relational databases like Oracle or DB2 and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with platform upgrades, technology refreshes, and system decommissioning tasks.
- Background in the financial or brokerage industry.
- Experience or familiarity with .NET technologies is a plus.
- AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve applications for the Accounts and Customer Experience sector.
- Create new features across distributed platforms, including both on-premises and cloud settings.
- Contribute to application-level architecture and engage in design and analytical discussions.
- Deliver scalable and high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful microservices.
- Implement unit, functional, and integration tests in line with TDD/BDD methodologies.
- Ensure the quality readiness of software deliverables and uphold thorough technical documentation.
- Assist with CI/CD practices and collaborate within an agile, geographically diverse team.
- Provide technical insights, solutions, and conduct independent technical and functional assessments.
- Aid in platform upgrades, technology refreshes, and system decommissioning activities.
- Deploy and maintain applications in both on-prem and AWS cloud environments.
