Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend data engineering or analytics platform development.
- Proficient in utilizing Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, particularly BigQuery.
- Advanced SQL skills along with a strong command of Python programming.
- Documented experience in creating enterprise-level data models, including curated datasets or Analytical Data Sets (ADS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD and orchestration tools such as Jenkins and Airflow.
- Experience with universal semantic modeling across various domains or products is preferred.
- Deep understanding of performance optimization, resilience, and scalability in extensive data environments.
- Strong collaborative skills to influence architectural choices across teams.
- Experience with Dataform and Vertex AI is a bonus.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage scalable data platforms and analytics products within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
- Create and sustain core data domains, engineered datasets, and semantic layers for various analytics users.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish architectural frameworks, aid in platform upgrades, and enhance data integrity.
- Provide technical leadership through teamwork, code assessments, and complex backend data engineering tasks.
- Enhance performance, implement cost-saving measures, ensure scalability, and maintain analytical precision across the EDW environment.
