Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, or Masters degree in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience for Bachelors or 3+ years for Masters in computer science or a comparable discipline.
- Proven expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Proficient in backend service development using Java frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Strong background with SQL and relational database management.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL and PL/SQL.
- Knowledge in data engineering with an emphasis on ETL pipelines.
- Competence in Python for data processing and ETL tasks.
- Experience with AWS for cloud development and application management.
- Familiar with CI/CD processes and automation tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Solid experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks like JUnit and Cucumber.
- Experience in monitoring and resolving issues across different environments, including production.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous work environments.
- Familiarity with Kafka (preferred).
- Experience in large federated data environments (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise-level platforms.
- Enhance and build backend services utilizing Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Create, debug, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL for data processing and integration tasks.
- Design and support ETL pipelines, including data processing using Python.
- Implement secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines and automation mechanisms with tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Establish and uphold unit and automated tests using frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.
- Monitor applications to identify and resolve issues across development, testing, and production phases.
- Conduct performance optimization and enhance system reliability and observability.
- Collaborate in a DevOps setting to support data-driven initiatives, including personalization and analytics.
