Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data science and machine learning. - At least 2 years of proficiency with Python and SQL in operational settings. - Strong command of Python libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, pandas, and numpy. - Solid SQL skills for data manipulation and extraction from extensive datasets. - Experience with tree-based models, regression techniques, time series analysis, causal models, and clustering. - Background in credit risk, lending, or the fintech sector. - In-depth understanding of credit risk modeling concepts including PD calibration, reject inference, adverse action logic, and risk segmentation. - Familiarity with tax and/or credit bureau information like TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax in credit model development. - Understanding of cash flow data as alternative or complementary data sources. - Excellent problem-solving abilities, along with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

- Create and refine fraud risk models that enhance lending decisions and promote responsible financial products. - Utilize large datasets, including both credit bureau and alternative data, to construct predictive models and extract meaningful insights. - Employ various modeling techniques such as tree-based models, regression, time series, causal analysis, and clustering to address fraud and credit risk challenges. - Develop and execute data extraction and transformation logic using SQL across expansive datasets. - Tune and oversee components of credit risk models such as PD calibration, reject inference, adverse action policies, and risk segmentation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into analytical solutions and effectively communicate findings.
