Requirements

Must:
- 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, security, or regulated technology initiatives. - Direct, hands-on leadership of FedRAMP programs across multiple clients. - Proven expertise with AWS GovCloud, including architecture, services, and security frameworks. - Experience migrating from on-prem and/or commercial AWS environments to GovCloud. - Strong grasp of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP controls, and compliance processes. - Background working with 3PAOs and federal or federal-adjacent stakeholders. - Capability to function amidst ambiguity and outline strategy prior to complete technical specifics. - Previous experience with telecommunications clients is preferred. - Comprehensive knowledge in achieving FedRAMP Moderate and/or High authorizations is preferred. - Advisory experience prior to authorization, not limited to audits, is preferred. - Background in public safety, justice, or mission-critical systems is preferred. - AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or Security, particularly with GovCloud experience, are preferred.

Responsibilities

- Oversee FedRAMP readiness evaluations, gap assessments, and authorization strategies for Moderate and High security baselines. - Define and manage FedRAMP roadmaps, including scope, sequencing, cost considerations, and timelines. - Assist clients with FedRAMP documentation, control implementation, and audit readiness. - Collaborate across AWS GovCloud, 3PAOs, and client security teams. - Provide guidance on shared responsibility models and defining system boundaries. - Develop migration strategies for transitioning from on-prem or commercial cloud to AWS GovCloud. - Evaluate and enhance legacy applications, including monoliths, custom platforms, and telecom systems. - Outline target-state architectures aligned with FedRAMP security, scalability, and resilience. - Advise on re-host, re-platform, and re-factor methodologies within regulated constraints. - Ensure coherence between security, architecture, and business objectives. - Utilize telecommunications domain expertise concerning high availability, resilience, legacy interdependencies, and data sovereignty. - Translate telecom limitations into compliant cloud architectures. - Support additional regulated clients, such as those in justice, public safety, and federal-adjacent workloads. - Act as the primary FedRAMP and GovCloud consultant to executives and technology leaders. - Deliver executive-level narratives addressing risks, trade-offs, and decision-making points. - Lead cross-functional teams focusing on security, cloud, application modernization, and compliance. - Assist in pre-sales efforts through roadmap development, solution framing, and establishing credibility.
