Requirements
Must:
- Proven hands-on experience in migrating ETL processes, especially from Informatica to modern or open-source platforms.
- Strong expertise in Informatica as either an administrator or developer.
- In-depth knowledge of ETL architectures, data integration methodologies, and relational database concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in documenting ETL logic and creating mappings and transformation summaries.
- Proficient in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Familiar with DevOps tools including Jenkins and Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Experience with developer-assistant tools like Copilot or similar technologies.
- Public cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure, particularly in Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Excellent communication abilities and capable of managing stakeholder relationships.
- Background in on-call support, incident resolution, and overseeing release management.
- Preferred certification in Informatica or similar ETL tools.
- Public cloud certification in AWS or Azure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of legacy ETL workflows from Informatica to contemporary ETL solutions or open-source frameworks.
- Analyze, document and categorize ETL logic, creating migration inventories and transformation summaries based on workflow complexity and criticality.
- Develop source-to-target mappings and migration artifacts that correspond with target platform designs.
- Utilize developer-assistant tools to uncover patterns in existing ETL processes and enhance the translation to target platforms.
- Automate various migration and administrative tasks using languages such as Python, Groovy, Java, Jenkins, APIs, and shell scripting.
- Collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and business partners to define the sequencing and prioritization of migrations.
- Set up and deploy solutions in AWS or Azure using Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Provide ongoing support, manage incidents, and oversee release management for migrated workloads.
