Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience as a DevOps engineer or a related software engineering position. - In-depth knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows. - Strong expertise with Terraform. - Familiarity with AWS infrastructure. - Proficient in databases and SQL. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team. - Background in Agile development practices with continuous integration and deployment. - Willingness to mentor and guide other engineering team members. - At least 5 years of overall DevOps experience. - A minimum of 5 years experience in developing on AWS. - At least 5 years experience managing and configuring databases like MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and SQL. - Over 5 years of experience managing production infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. - 5+ years of configuration management experience utilizing tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. - Proficiency in Python or Java is preferred. - Experience in mobile or telecom environments is a plus. - Background in system architecture is advantageous. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. - AWS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Building and deploying new development tools and infrastructure components. - Understanding the requirements of stakeholders and effectively communicating these to developers. - Streamlining and automating development and release workflows. - Ensuring systems are secured against cybersecurity threats. - Identifying and rectifying technical issues through software updates and fixes. - Working closely with developers and engineers to ensure adherence to established processes and functionality. - Planning projects and contributing actively to project management efforts. - Conducting root cause analysis of production failures and addressing technical challenges. - Writing scripts to automate visualizations. - Designing protocols for system troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
