Business Systems Engineer - Automation Focus

- Oversee daily technical tasks for business systems architecture that supports front and middle office functions within public and private markets - Collaborate with Technology Owners, Business Owners, and Operations to explore and implement new solutions while defining support requirements - Evaluate team needs across Investment Management, Operations, and Technology to ensure business objectives are fulfilled through software design, development, or deployment - Act as the architect and designer for investment management applications and systems, including their interactions - Develop test plans, scenarios, and procedures for new software, guiding their implementation - Identify gaps and risks within systems architecture, design, and projects, and propose mitigation strategies - Spearhead and coordinate the architecture and design of solutions, including coding where necessary - Conduct and supervise software testing utilizing manual, automated, and exploratory methods, documenting results and managing defect tracking - Ensure maintenance and upgrades of implemented solutions are effectively executed - Serve as a subject matter expert on IT business applications to troubleshoot and resolve production problems - Investigate investment management technologies and stay informed about industry trends, products, vendors, and services - Collaborate with Operations and Technology to ensure systems are designed to meet the business needs and remain sustainable over time
