Requirements
Must:

- Strong background in SDLC, system design, and the development of internal tools
- Familiarity with observability tools, metrics collection, and dashboard creation
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with Angular and Spring Boot frameworks
- Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and AWS cloud services
- Competence with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch
- Demonstrable ability to pinpoint automation opportunities and generate measurable outcomes
Responsibilities
- Create production-grade AI agents to eliminate manual handoffs throughout the SDLC
- Develop custom integrations and CLI tools to grant agents comprehensive insights into internal systems and codebases
- Design thorough testing strategies to ensure agent reliability and output quality
- Implement Golden Path scaffolding to uphold organizational standards in new projects
- Construct AI solutions that enhance codebase navigation, documentation, and developer workflows
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and provide quantifiable enhancements through intelligent automation
- Influence SDLC advancements by spotting AI-driven opportunities and validating outcomes through experimentation
- Design and sustain production infrastructure for deploying agents, managing lifecycles, and scaling
- Develop agent frameworks, templates, and SDKs that expedite agent development
- Establish a governed Model Context Protocol catalog to ensure compliant agent communications
- Implement governance controls regulating agent behaviors, permissions, and system access
- Create metrics, monitoring, and logging frameworks for AI agents and development workflows
- Design dashboards that deliver actionable insights into developer productivity and agent performance
- Define KPIs and measurement systems to quantify the impact of AI-driven automation
- Establish alerting and anomaly detection systems to maintain agent and tooling reliability
- Analyze telemetry data to uncover optimization prospects and influence strategic investments
- Collaborate across teams to promote the adoption of AI-enhanced tools and process transformations
- Stay informed on LLM technologies and mentor peers in AI-assisted development practices
- Rapidly prototype solutions to test use cases and demonstrate value
- Present data-driven insights to stakeholders through clear visualizations and reports

We are seeking an AI Agent Software Engineer to architect and develop agentic systems, orchestration frameworks, and observability that streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This hybrid role requires onsite presence in either Rockville, MD or McLean, VA for three days a week.
