Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in data, business intelligence, or reporting analysis roles.
- Proficient in Power BI and/or Tableau for dashboard creation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for data and work item reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Forms as data input sources.
- Capability to recognize patterns and irregularities and present various interpretations to diverse groups.
- Experience in writing DAX, SQL, and M Query (Power Query) or similar transformation languages.
- Proven ability to generate reports suitable for executives, directors, and teams.
- Familiarity with utilizing AI/ML tools in analytical processes, including Azure OpenAI, Copilot, or Python.
- Practical experience using command line AI tools for scripting and automation.
- Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Zsh for script execution and management of automated workflows.
- Strong communication and data storytelling skills, comfortable with presenting nuanced findings.
- Knowledge of Agile flow metrics such as cycle time, lead time, throughput, WIP, and flow efficiency.
- Familiarity with Lean principles and flow-based frameworks like Value Stream Mapping, Littles Law, Theory of Constraints, and Kanban metrics.
Responsibilities
- Connect and extract data from tools like Tableau, Microsoft Forms, Excel, Azure DevOps, Power BI, and other enterprise applications.
- Build and sustain reliable data pipelines from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources while ensuring data quality.
- Identify and integrate new data sources as various needs arise.
- Analyze workforce and organizational data to correlate composition and changes with outcomes and delivery rates.
- Develop reports linking people metrics to business outcomes and aiding capacity planning while adhering to privacy regulations.
- Utilize statistics, AI, and machine learning to uncover patterns, anomalies, correlations, outliers, and leading indicators.
- Present multiple valid interpretations of key findings, consisting of optimistic, neutral, and cautionary perspectives, noting any uncertainties and risks.
- Recognize cross-domain patterns relating ADO sprints, headcount, survey sentiment, and delivery performance, while flagging potential biases.
- Leverage Azure AI, Copilot, and Python ML libraries to derive predictive and narrative insights, while assessing emerging AI analytics technologies.
- Employ command line AI tools and scripts to automate ETL processes, create and refine DAX, SQL, KQL, and Power Query codes, and integrate with CI/CD environments.
- Interact with APIs and cloud storage using CLI for batch processing and generating BI outputs with version-controlled scripts in Git.
- Design dashboards catering to executives, directors, and teams, including journey visualizations and interpretative guidance.
- Transform intricate datasets into visual narratives, track trends and changes, and offer context for metric variations.
- Facilitate the definition of KPIs and reporting schedules, presenting findings to executives with alternative views.
- Apply Lean principles and flow analysis to identify bottlenecks, waste, and flow metrics, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

We are seeking an AI-Powered Data & Insights Analyst for a hybrid role located near DFW Airport, allowing for onsite work 3 to 4 days a week. In this position, you will connect raw, multi-source data to strategic decisions within our organization, build data pipelines and dashboards, and apply AI and statistical methods to uncover patterns and insights.
