Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT support.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong technical skills to learn and adapt to new technology and troubleshooting processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting Windows products, VPNs, performance issues, and peripherals.
- Successful completion of designated Microsoft certifications.
- Must be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize client issues.
- Required to commute to Tampa, FL 33635 for the position.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user, network, and software issues.
- Document and resolve issues effectively.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
- Assist clients with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks.
- Diagnose system emergencies and strive to resolve them promptly.
- Set up new user profiles and install software.
- Collaborate with vendor representatives to address software and hardware challenges.
- Install or upgrade Microsoft Operating Systems as needed.
- Adhere to established processes and standards in service delivery.
- Review security parameters with clients and recommend adjustments based on our guidelines.
- Engage in projects such as system migrations, virtual server configurations, server and firewall installations, and VPN tunnel setups.
- Participate in project planning and help deliver effective solutions.
Description
We are seeking a Level 2 Support Engineer to enhance our team. As a growing IT Managed Security Service Provider and Managed Service Provider (MSSP/MSP), we support clients in optimizing technology across their businesses, providing routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and leading various IT projects for small to medium-sized organizations. Our mission is centered around delivering comprehensive customer service tailored to small business IT management and daily help desk support. This role requires in-office work and on-site interactions with clients around the Tampa Bay area. In this role, I envision a typical day involving addressing support tickets that require troubleshooting skills, as we do not have Level 1 engineers. The selected candidate will have the chance to work closely with experienced IT consultants and gain exposure to a wide array of cutting-edge technologies. We offer a friendly, dynamic work environment and encourage our team to take an active part in shaping our growth and direction. Compensation starts at $55,000+ depending on experience and comes with full-time W2 employment benefits, including vacation and health coverage.
