Requirements
Must:
- Over 12 years of experience in Google Cloud architecture, data engineering, or platform engineering
- Demonstrated ability to lead Google Cloud Platform projects within large enterprise settings
- Strong practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Skilled in designing enterprise-level data platforms
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform
- Excellent communication and ability to lead stakeholders
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required
Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee enterprise data platforms utilizing Google Cloud Platform
- Direct extensive Google Cloud Platform implementations for large organizations
- Develop scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Dataproc
- Lead engineering teams through architectural decisions and their execution
- Act as a technical leader in client interactions, collaborating with executives and stakeholders
- Convert business requirements into scalable cloud solutions
- Set standards for performance, security, and governance

At ElevationHR, we are supporting a Fortune 500 energy and critical infrastructure company that is in the midst of a significant cloud and data transformation. We are on the lookout for two Principal Google Cloud Platform Solutions Architects who will play a crucial role in designing and scaling enterprise data platforms that support analytics, AI, and modernization initiatives. This is a hybrid position based in downtown Houston, TX, on a 1099 contract for 12 months, with strong potential for full-time conversion.
