Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers
- Perform software installations and upgrades for operating systems and layered software packages
- Schedule installations and upgrades, maintaining them in accordance with IT policies and procedures
- Monitor and optimize system performance levels
- Ensure data integrity for workstations and servers by evaluating and managing software and hardware solutions
- Implement a schedule for system backups and database archiving to guarantee data/media recoverability
- Develop and promote standard operating procedures
- Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines
- Maintain a comprehensive database of operating system hardware and software configurations, along with supporting documentation
