Requirements
Must:
- Ability to obtain interim secret clearance or possess secret clearance or higher
- Capability to achieve Forescout certifications as part of a professional development plan
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification
- Over 15 years of experience in a DoD environment (Contractor/Civilian/Military), preferably with US Army or DISA
- Forescout Certified Engineer (FSCE) designation
- Background in Network Access Control systems
- Experience managing projects throughout development lifecycles from analysis to implementation
- Strong multitasking ability and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with software tools such as MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Visio
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable in networking, telecommunications, or application development, as well as client/server internet/web development
- Ability to implement IT industry standards in a secure networking context
- Experience in generating and maintaining programmatic and technical documentation for effective planning and execution, alongside adeptness in managing system configurations.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for Comply-to-Connect across various DoD networks and classification domains
- Establish and oversee network analysis and monitoring tools, including health reporting and alerting adjustments
- Suggest improvements to enhance stability, availability, reliability, and performance of network infrastructure
- Resolve intricate networking issues involving multiple stakeholders
- Create process and architecture diagrams
- Offer technical expertise on remediation and mitigation of findings from DISA STIGs
- Prepare program status reports and briefings for internal management, senior leadership, and government oversight officials
- Understand enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, and demonstrate strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks, including ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade switches
- Possess advanced administrator-level understanding of various operating systems (Linux, Windows, Macintosh, UNIX is advantageous)
- Show proficiency in debugging and root-cause analysis within complex systems and large-scale environments
- Gain hands-on experience with installation, implementation, and troubleshooting of network access control security solutions
- Familiarity with 802.1x network authentication
- Have some knowledge of programming languages, such as C, Java, Perl, and/or Python is an advantage
- Embrace a hands-on approach, exhibiting the ability to multitask while maintaining a service-oriented mindset towards ownership of tasks
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment while effectively managing individual responsibilities to ensure success
- Communicate organized updates, including detailed descriptions of issues, status updates, recommendations, and reports across various levels within the organization.
