Requirements
Must:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability
- Over 4 years of experience in architecting, deploying, and managing core components of the Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch and Kibana
- At least 2 years of experience with Elastic Agent, encompassing deployment, configuration of agent policies, and troubleshooting issues
- Familiarity with carrying out the Elastic Stack upgrade process using clear and repeatable methods
- Experience in monitoring the Elastic Stack and resolving common challenges
- Knowledge of common SSL certificate issues and their resolutions
- Proficient in managing Single-Sign-On integration with the Elastic Stack and troubleshooting access problems
- Ability to define user personas and create effective Elasticsearch Roles tailored to their use cases
- Comfortable using Elastic APIs via Dev Tools or custom scripts
- Experience in developing and managing Elasticsearch Index & Snapshot Lifecycle Management (ILM) strategies
- Strong communication skills with the capacity to convey complex technical discussions in accessible business terms
- Skilled in crafting clear and effective technical delivery plans aimed at achieving high-quality results and reliable execution

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of our enterprise Elastic solution
- Ensure the platform remains secure, highly available, and optimized for mission-critical tasks, including analytics, search, observability, and security workloads
- Collaborate with a dedicated engineering team, acting as a technical leader in resolving complex issues within the Elastic Stack
- Proactively identify problems, detect emerging risks, and apply preventative measures to sustain a stable environment
- Pilot automation efforts that simplify operations and enhance reliability
- Engage in change control processes, maintaining strict configuration management practices, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards
- Offer support to adjacent teams such as SRE, DevOps, and Security, providing guidance on data ingestion, dashboards, and alerts best practices
- Partner closely with the Elastic vendor for support escalations, roadmap discussions, and collaborative innovation planning
- Ensure ECS capitalizes on new platform capabilities and aligns with best practices to consistently advance platform maturity and vendor relationships
- Utilize strong experience in data analysis and visualization with the Elastic Stack to transform data into meaningful insights for stakeholders
- Foster a culture of continual improvement that enhances ECSs Elastic capabilities, resulting in a robust, scalable, and high-performing platform
