Requirements
Must:
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent attention to detail along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using database tools and techniques (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, Non-Relational) for crafting complex SQL statements and optimizing queries
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting to develop automation scripts for Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL) processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with all team levels
- Collaborative team player who can prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Web Services, building event-driven Microservices, and Kafka streaming with Schema registry and OAuth authentication
- Familiar with the Spring Framework and Google Cloud Platform Services in public cloud environments, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
- Ability to develop Microservices using Java/J2EE Spring to handle large volume real-time events into Kafka topics, architecting solutions for real-time data availability
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize data pipeline architectures for sourcing, ingestion, transformation, and extraction, ensuring data integrity and compliance with organizational standards
- Design and maintain scalable database schemas, data models, and structures for data warehouses; execute data mapping and schema evolution, integrating various source systems
- Automate data extraction workflows and create detailed technical documentation for ETL/ELT processes; collaborate cross-functionally to convert business requirements into data schemas
- Set and uphold data governance standards, including quality metrics and validation rules, alongside best practices for data warehouse design and tools
- Develop, test, and launch ETL/ELT scripts and programs utilizing SQL, Python, Spark, or similar languages; enhance code for performance and scalability
- Implement and optimize data warehouse systems, concentrating on query performance and batch processing efficiency, using indexing, partitioning, and caching techniques
- Conduct advanced data analysis, validation, and profiling using SQL and scripting; create data models, dashboards, and reports in tandem with stakeholders
- Oversee the testing and validation of ETL workflows to ensure compliance with scheduled SLAs and business standards; document testing processes and results
- Execute root cause analysis for processing failures, troubleshoot production issues, and apply corrections; ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems while supporting continuous improvement of data pipelines
