Requirements

Must:
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. - 5–8+ years of professional experience in software development. - Previous experience in project leadership or team management (formally or informally). - Proficient in modern programming languages (preferably C-based such as C#, C++, etc.). - Strong knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design, and development best practices. - Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems. - Outstanding communication and leadership abilities. - Genuine interest in engineering and scientific applications.

Responsibilities

- Spearhead the design, development, and upkeep of add-ins that seamlessly integrate with our core simulation and modeling platforms. - Oversee and mentor a team of developers, including task assignment, code evaluations, and professional growth. - Create and manage user interfaces that are accessible for scientists and clients. - Design and implement object-oriented workflows that are compatible with the 3D modeling application, Discovery. - Maintain code integrity through best practices, emphasizing modularity, maintainability, and thorough documentation. - Work collaboratively with scientists, product stakeholders, and other engineering teams to define and deliver effective solutions. - Lead technical decision-making, improvement of tools, and development processes within the team. - Update leadership on project progress, potential risks, and timelines.

We are a dedicated team of Electromagnetic Effects Scientists integrating advanced analysis and simulation tools into extensible frameworks to model electromagnetic field interactions with intricate air, space, and ground systems. As a Software Developer III / Add-In Team Lead, you will direct our add-in development initiatives, overseeing both the technical strategy and a small development team. We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year, alongside benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
