- Prioritize safety in all operations. - Operate a boom truck safely, climb poles as required, and use standard tools of the trade. - Lead and inspire the crew to fulfill OSHA, customer, and ElectriCom safety standards, project requirements, and daily output goals. - Follow guidance from supervisors with readiness. - Communicate professionally with colleagues, homeowners, and clients. - Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team. - Diagnose, maintain, and repair overhead fiber optic lines. - Read and understand engineering diagrams and specifications. - Comply with separation and clearance regulations. - Install utility poles and lay down wires and cables. - Maintain an accurate record of work activities. - Access various installation and construction sites using bucket trucks, ladders, crawl spaces, ceilings, tunnels, and trenches. - Work at heights, using ladders, aerial devices, or gaffing as necessary. - Climb multiple telephone poles daily, approximately 20 feet high. - Lift or pull weights of up to 100 pounds multiple times throughout the day. - Sustain prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking. - Bend, twist, squat, and reach overhead frequently during the workday. - Use both hands continuously for operating tools and performing tasks. - Work full-time outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Participate in required training (LMS, OSHA-10 hour, etc.). - Control roadside traffic as needed.
