Senior IT Engineer

- Address the most challenging technical issues, which may involve intricate network issues, server problems, or complex software integration. - Lead, mentor, and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. - Take on significant IT projects, leading or coordinating efforts for system upgrades, migrations, or the implementation of new technologies. This includes project planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews. - Develop, revise, and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance service delivery and security measures. - Provide strategic input into IT infrastructure decisions, contributing to long-term planning and technology roadmaps. - Manage the lifecycle of major incidents, from initial response through resolution, including root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. - Take an active role in IT security, ensuring compliance with security policies, managing responses to security incidents, and possibly contributing to security audits. - Liaise with external vendors for support, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and managing the procurement of hardware/software solutions. - Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation, including creating standards for documentation practices. - Conduct or oversee training sessions for users on new systems or technologies, emphasizing best practices for usage and security.
