Responsibilities
- I will rely on you to provide expert technical support across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
- Your role will include diagnosing and repairing desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and audio/visual setups.
- You will be responsible for resolving software issues, including with Microsoft Office, malware removal, and VPN problems.
- You will handle network connectivity and basic LAN/WAN configurations.
- Utilizing platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy, you will manage tickets and keep track of progress.
- Documenting fixes and creating both internal and external knowledge base articles will also be part of your duties.
*Custom Builds & Upgrades:*
- You will build custom desktop systems to meet user specifications, whether they are for gaming, video editing, or business use.
- Upgrading and optimizing hardware components such as RAM, GPUs, CPUs, SSDs, and cooling systems will be expected.
- Performing electrical diagnostics related to IT systems and peripherals is within your responsibilities.
- You will ensure optimal performance tuning for speed, stability, and thermal efficiency.
*Client Education & Community Engagement:*
- You will provide one-on-one guidance on security, system use, and maintenance.
- Mentoring youth and tech learners in areas like safe computing, AI tools, and coding basics is encouraged.
- Supporting community events, tech workshops, and hands-on boot camps will be part of your engagement efforts.
*Regional Field Support (Preferred):*
- Delivering remote and on-site support to clients around Quesnel, Williams Lake, and Prince George is part of the role.
- Assistance with IT asset management, software licensing, and basic A/V system setup is also included.
